Job Overview

We are looking for an Accounting Assistant with strong experience in bookkeeping, payroll processing, and financial reporting to support a U.S.-based healthcare client. Your role will be vital in managing daily financial operations, ensuring accurate records, timely payroll, and overall financial integrity.

Key Responsibilities

Bookkeeping & Financial Management

  • Perform day-to-day bookkeeping tasks including bank reconciliations, expense coding, A/P, and deposits
  • Process credit card and ACH transactions (via WorldPay or similar platforms)
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports

Payroll & Compliance

  • Execute bi-weekly/monthly payroll using systems like ADP or Intuit Assisted Payroll
  • Maintain proper payroll records and ensure compliance with local/state tax laws

Reporting & Forecasting

  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and tax preparation
  • Consolidate financials across 3–4 legal entities and assist with audit preparation

Administrative Support

  • Keep accurate records of all accounting and payroll processes
  • Ensure timely updates of financial data and maintain organized documentation

Tech Utilization

  • Utilize QuickBooks Desktop and accounting software to manage workflows
  • Use productivity tools like Google Workspace and Microsoft Excel for reporting and collaboration
     

Qualifications & Requirements

Experience & Skills:

✅ 2–3 years of hands-on QuickBooks Desktop experience (Required)
✅ Solid experience in bookkeeping, payroll processing, and reconciliation
✅ Background in US accounting is a plus
✅ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
✅ High attention to detail and accuracy
✅ Excellent communication skills (written & verbal) in English

Technical & Work Setup:

✅ High-speed internet connection (at least 25 Mbps)
✅ PC/Laptop: Minimum 8GB RAM, i5 processor or equivalent
✅ Noise-canceling headset (preferred)
✅ Quiet & professional home office setup
